Mazda is recalling 18,592 of its 2014 Mazda6 sedans built between Oct. 25, 2012, and May 9, 2013, to fix a problem with the car’s fuel tank, AutoWeek reports.
The company says it’s possible to overfill the fuel tank in the Mazda6 which could lead to leakage into other parts of the car. Mazda’s repair involves installing an adapter in the fuel tank to reduce the potential of overfilling.
Owners can expect to be contacted by Mazda by the end of this month. So far, no injuries or fires have been reported as a result of this problem.
