Along with an upcoming roadster, Italian automaker Pagani is reportedly working on a track-ready version of the Huayra.

Rumoured to be called the Nürburgring Edition, details are admittedly thin at this point in time. Speaking with Pagani chief test driver Davide Testi, a member of Team Speed (hat tip to WorldCarFans), the track-spec Huayra will be limited to anywhere between 10 and 25 examples.

Testi also suggested total Huayra production will  top out at 220 examples, split between 110 coupes and 110 roadsters. Yes, that means Pagani is still on track to unveil the topless Huayra by 2016.

As a refresher, the Pagani Huayra is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine derived from Mercedes’ AMG division, tweaked to pump out 720 horsepower and 740 lb.-ft. of torque.
