Following last week’s leak, Nissan has finally unveiled the 2015 Navara pickup, known as the Frontier in North America.
For 2015, the Navara can be had with either a 2.5-litre gas or 2.5-litre diesel engine, both with four cylinders. The diesel Navara can be had in two different flavours — one with 160 horsepower and 297 lb.-ft. of torque, and another rated at 187 horsepower and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. As for the gasoline engine, Nissan hasn’t detailed any output figures just yet.

Compared to the outgoing Navara, Nissan says fuel economy has been improved by 11 per cent thanks to the addition of a seven-speed automatic transmission. But for those who prefer to row their own gears, a six-speed manual is also offered.
On the outside, the Navara gains styling cues in line with the rest of Nissan’s lineup with Nissan’s new ‘V-Motion’ grille and LED daytime running lights up front. Inside, Nissan fitted the Navara with a larger centre console, a high-resolution TFT display and push-button start, among other new features.
Nissan hasn’t confirmed whether we’ll see the Navara in North America, but it seems likely given that the current Frontier has been around for a while. There’s that, and there’s the fact that the outgoing Navara was badged in North America as the Frontier.
