With Kia aiming to further differentiate itself from Hyundai, the Korean automaker has teased a new concept ahead of its debut at next month’s North American International Auto Show.

We don’t know much about it, only that it will be offered in a 2+2 seating arrangement and will be “aimed at delivering head-turning looks whilst providing a superb driving enjoyment whether on the road or at the track.” While the 2014 Forte Koup comes somewhat close with its all-new 2.0-litre turbo-four, Kia doesn’t quite have a dedicated performance car in their lineup, unlike Hyundai and its Genesis Coupe.

The concept, designed in California, is said to feature styling and design language that will eventually find their way into the rest of the Kia family. We’ll bring you the full reveal of Kia’s new 2+2 sports car, and so much more, when the NAIAS opens its doors on Jan. 14 in Detroit.
