The list of automakers that will offer Apple’s new CarPlay infotainment system continues to grow, with Mazda and Chrysler being the most recent brands committed to join.

Although we won’t see the system in most of the cars on the list until about 2015, Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo are currently the only automakers offering the system, according to a report from MacLife.

The automakers committed to offer Apple’s groundbreaking system include all Chrysler brands (Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Fiat and Jeep), Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroen, Ford, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota, in addition to the automakers mentioned above.

The CarPlay system will make it easier and safer for drivers to use smartphone technology in the car. The system will integrate a built-in dashboard display and will feature Apple’s famous intuitive interface along with Siri compatibility.
