In a daring display of its safety technology, Hyundai sent a convoy of new Genesis sedans through a grueling set of tests in the Mojave Desert with some pretty brave stunt drivers. This video, called The Empty Car Convoy, was filmed to showcase how Hyundai’s driver assisting safety technology, like the lane-keeping system, emergency braking and autonomous cruise control, work.
One test involves the stunt drivers jumping out of the cars’ sunroofs while the cars continue to drive themselves single file, while the other test sees a driver wearing a blindfold, not touching the steering wheel and following a braking truck.
