This man built a working baby V10 engine out of Lego

Lego. Is there anything you can’t do with those pint-sized cubes that hurt very, very much if you step on them?

There are multiple kits that let you build scale model cars, including Ferrari Formula One cars, Volkswagen Microbuses and Mini Coopers. But that’s amateur hour, and if you consider yourself above those boxed project cars — and, not to mention, have the patience to spare — then why not build a baby engine out of plastic?

This video comes from the folks at AutoEvolution. It shows not only a time lapse of the assembly process, but the fact that it runs. Yes, it actually runs on air, and can go up to 1,250 rpm. Even if it isn’t an entire car that runs and drives, this miniature V10 engine is seriously impressive.

Oh, and this guy has built other engines, including an inline-12.
