Infiniti has just dropped a teaser for a new model, but what it could be is anyone’s guess.
Choosing to remain completely enigmatic, all Infiniti promises is that the new car “will share a vision, its soul, on a scale not seen before by the company.”
So, what could it be? Recently, Infiniti has been making a big fuss about the Q50 Eau Rouge. The thing is, that car is practically ready for production. We all know what the Q50 Eau Rouge looks like and we already know what lies under the hood, so there’s not much of a point to tease it.
Rather, we’re willing to bet it’s a production-ready version of the compact Q30 concept, which debuted at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. They keyword in Infiniti’s promise is “scale” — while the automaker has dabbled with sedans and SUVs in the past, we have yet to see Infiniti target the likes of the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA, and the Q30 would be the perfect car to do so.
But for now, your guess is as good as ours until Infiniti unveils the car, likely this October at the Paris Motor Show. What do you think it is?
