The next-generation Buick Regal could see styling cues lifted from the Opel Monza concept when it debuts as early as 2017.
“You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia,” Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann told Automotive News, implying the next-generation Opel Insignia — marketed as the Buick Regal in North America — will be inspired on the outside by the Monza, which debuted at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
Although GM hasn’t given exact timing on when we’ll see the next Insignia/Regal, rumours suggest the Insignia will bow before the Regal in 2017. Following its refresh earlier this year, Opel head designer Mark Adams will continue to push for a more premium feel with the Monza-inspired Insignia and Regal.
