Land Rover has announced at the Sao Paulo Auto Show that its new Discovery Sport will be manufactured in Brazil.
According to MotorAuthority, the new plant will be located in Itatiaia. Production, expected to kick off in 2016, will be around 24,000 units per year for the Brazilian market, while Discovery Sports destined for the rest of the world will be built in Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood, U.K. plant.
Recently, Land Rover announced the Evoque will be manufactured in China for that market, making the Discovery Sport the second Land Rover ever to be built outside of the U.K.
