We can’t help but get a little excited whenever Ken Block announces anything related to his Gymkhana videos — especially if it’s one involving a car as unhinged and insane as this.
It’s called the Hoonicorn RTR, and it’s on display at this week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Starting out as a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, the Hoonicorn obviously boasts the modifications we know and love from anything meant to shred tires with Ken Block.

First and foremost, the Hoonicorn RTR is powered by a 6.7-litre V8 good for a whopping 845 horsepower. It took two years to build with the help of ASD Motorsports in North Carolina, as well as RTR, the Ford-focused tuning brand owned by NASCAR driver Vaughn Gittin Jr.

The Hoonicorn sends its kick to all four wheels via an AWD system built exclusively for the car. Visually, the car is as outrageous as we could possibly imagine, complete with bodywork inspired by WRC and DTM racecars. Mean graphics and a set of bronze wheels — curiously resembling classic Ferrari wheels — complete the look.
So, how does it drive? We’ll see when Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 drops … soon, hopefully.
