Lexus teases new concept ahead of L.A. debut

Lexus will introduce a new convertible concept at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

Known as the LF-C2 concept, the teaser image reveals only the silhouette of the car. Although Lexus has otherwise remained tight-lipped about the car, the silhouette (aside from the missing roof, of course) is reminiscent of the new RC coupe.

This could very well end up being a convertible version of the RC, especially considering company executives reportedly confirmed an RC F convertible during a recent dealer meeting in the U.S. Going by that, this means a production version of the LF-C2 will share its engines with the RC coupe, most notably its standard 3.5-litre V6 and optional, 467-horsepower V8 engine.

The 2015 L.A. Auto Show officially kicks off on November 19. We’ll bring you the latest on the Lexus LF-C2 — and many more cars — next week.
