Toyota has taken the wraps off the Scion iM, a new concept targeted at younger buyers.
Billed as a five-door hatchback, the iM is essentially a rebadged version of the European-spec Toyota Auris but with more aggressive styling, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a lowered suspension and larger four-piston brakes.
Not much else is known about the car, but based on a report last week, the iM will join Scion’s lineup early next year in a bid to boost lagging sales. The Toyota Auris shares its underpinnings with the Corolla, so expect to see similar engine and transmission options.
We’ll bring you the latest on the Scion iM when the L.A. Auto Show kicks off in exactly one week.
