Just when you thought the Cadillac ATS-V Coupe was all the horsepower GM was bringing to the L.A. Auto Show, the automaker recently peeled back the covers of the ATS-V.R racer.
Currently, the CTS-V.R takes on the brunt of Cadillac’s racing efforts in the GT3-class and the Pirelli World Challenge, but the new ATS-V.R is set to take its place.
Powered by a significantly modified version of the twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre V6 found in the ATS-V Coupe, CTS and XTS VSport models, the ATS-V.R. pumps out a whopping 600 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque.
Naturally, it has the goods to look at home on the racetrack, complete with functional aerodynamics, a wider and low-slung body, a towering rear wing and massive 18-inch BBS wheels that are 13-inches wide in the rear.
The Cadillac ATS-V.R will be shown at the L.A. Auto Show next week alongside the ATS-V Coupe.
