If you’ve been anticipating the moment Chevrolet was going to pull back the covers of the 2015 Corvette Z06 at this year’s Detroit auto show, the wait is over.
Thanks to a keen reader over at Jalopnik, we have our first full look at the latest and craziest addition to the Corvette family. Based on the photos, the 2015 Corvette Z06 looks appropriately angry, with a bevy of carbon fibre aerodynamic bits in the way of a front lip and a rear spoiler.

The Z06 also gets upsized wheels and larger air intakes. There is no word yet on what lies under the beefy, yell0w-and-black hood, but a previous leak earlier this week suggests a supercharged, 7.0-litre V8 pushing out 620 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.

Regardless of what the final numbers will end up being, the Z06 will certainly be faster than the already fast Corvette Stingray, much less the C6 Z06. It certainly has to be, seeing as GM promises the latest Z06 will be one of the most track-capable Corvettes in a long time.
The 2015 Corvette Z06 will make its full reveal on Monday at the North American International Auto Show.
