Day One of the 2014 North American International Auto Show hasn’t even wrapped up, yet we’ve already seen a fair share of absolute show stoppers.

Everyone is abuzz about the Toyota FT-1 Concept, also known as the Supra we want Toyota to build right now. As in, at this very moment. Of course, there’s plenty of other fresh sheet metal to drool over, including the BMW M3 and M4, the all-new Porsche 911 Targa, the Kia GT-4 Stinger concept and the holy-crap-this-is-fast Chevrolet Corvette Z06. We’ve also seen our fair share of more “attainable” hatchbacks, like the 2015 Volkswagen Golf R, the Mini John Cooper Works and the all-new Honda Fit.

On the workhorse front, the Ford F-150 is bound to give the likes of the Ram 1500 and the GMC Sierra a run for their money with a fresh new underpinnings made out of military-grade aluminum. Speaking of the GMC Sierra, we also met its little brother, the GMC Canyon. Along with the Chevrolet Colorado, they mark GM’s return to the midsize pickup market in North America.

But like they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. Be sure to flip through our second gallery, too. Stay tuned for tomorrow, where we expect to see even more great unveils, like the Cadillac ATS Coupe and the Subaru WRX STI.
