GM is still looking at returning to the off-road-worthy SUV market with the help of its GMC division.
The rumours have been floating around for a while, but a new report from The Wall Street Journal (hat tip to AutoGuide) says GM is currently gauging demand from its dealers for an off-road ready SUV that would directly compete with the Jeep Wrangler.
Considering GM is asking its dealers about the model, it seems like the automaker is actually serious about taking on the Wrangler. No other details about the model have trickled out, but it’s possible GM could draw inspiration from the long-defunct Hummer in terms of capability.
