Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen recently took to Jalopnik and answered a round of questions from readers, revealing a handful of details about what we can expect from Cadillac in the very near future.
In response to one question, de Nysschen said Cadillac will “have an entirely new family of V6 engines coming soon, premiering in (the) CT6.” Details are quite thin, so we’ll have to wait until the CT6’s official debut on March 31.
Along with the new V6 engines, de Nysschen dropped another tidbit of information — at some point, the CT6 will see a twin-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood, likely as a V-series model.
As for the other models in Cadillac’s lineup, the ELR is set for an update. de Nysschen didn’t offer a specific timeline — he only said it will happen “soon” — but expect to see the same tweaks as we’ve seen on its platform-mate, the Chevrolet Volt.
