Ford is looking to introduce an affordable, 200-mile electric car of its own.
Billed as a competitor to the Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla Model 3, Automobile magazine says we’ll see Ford’s take on a long-range electric vehicle by the end of this year.
Ford hasn’t dished any details about the car, but we already know the Chevrolet Bolt will hit the market in 2017 — although whether or not the name will be changed remains to be seen — with a range expected to exceed 200 miles and a price tag of about $30,000.
Tesla’s upcoming Model 3 is another vehicle in the affordable electric car game. It’s also scheduled to go on sale in 2017, net similar mileage to the Bolt and cost under $40,000.
As for Ford’s player – the company hasn’t dished any details, but Automobile says we could see it debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
