Cadillac SRX replacement due this fall

Cadillac is working on an SRX replacement that could debut at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

According to the Detroit News, the next-generation SRX is expected to be called the XT5, making it the next model in Cadillac’s lineup to adapt the company’s new alphanumeric naming strategy.

Since its debut in 2010, the current SRX has become Cadillac’s best-selling model in the U.S. But compared to its rivals, the SRX is the oldest model in the segment and sales have slipped by roughly 5.3 per cent south of the border.

Along with the redesigned SRX, Cadillac is also planning an entry-level compact luxury sedan. Priced around the $30,000 mark, it will be aimed at the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA.
