Aston Martin is looking to open up a new plant in the U.S. to build its upcoming crossover.

Speaking to sources close to the matter, Britain’s Financial Times says Aston Martin has been in talks with a handful of states about the factory. Other possible sites include U.K., specifically an old Jaguar factory in Coventry, England.

While Aston Martin didn’t officially confirm it’s in talks to determine where the new factory will be located, Automotive News reports the crossover in question will likely be a production version of the DBX concept we first saw at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

The DBX is part of Aston Martin’s plan to boost sales to 15,000 vehicles per year, but to achieve that goal, it needs a new factory. Aston’s sports cars will be capped at 7,000 units, while the DBX – expected to hit the market within four years – will account for the rest of its sales goal.
