True to what we’ve seen across the globe, McLaren’s latest Sports Series models are the most “attainable” McLaren models in Canada.
Starting at $196,500, the McLaren 540C is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine. Rated at 533 horsepower, the only transmission available is a seven-speed sequential manual transmission. All told, the 540C reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.5 seconds.
Meanwhile, the more powerful 570S is priced at $219,750. It’s largely similar to the 540C under the skin, but a touch more powerful – the 570S is rated at 562 horsepower and completes the zero-to-100 km/h run in 3.2 seconds. Both the 540C and 570S are underpinned by McLaren’s carbon fibre monocoque chassis.
Aimed squrely at the likes of sports cars such as the Audi R8 and Porsche 911 Turbo, the McLaren 540C and 570S are currently availabe for orders, with deliveries expected to kick off this November.
