Hyundai has given us our first official look at its upcoming subcompact crossover in a new sketch.
Set to launch on July 21, the Creta will be targeted at the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3 and billed as Hyundai’s entry into the extremely hot subcompact crossover segment.
Specific details are still thin, but based on the sketch, the Hyundai Creta will closely resemble the ix25 concept from the Beijing Motor Show – essentially a little-brother version of the Tucson and Santa FeHyy, complete with body cladding and Hyundai’s hexagonal grille, along with unique touches such as blacked-out A-pillars.
There’s no word yet on North American availability, but judging by the popularity of the HR-V and CX-3, chances are high we’ll see the Creta in Canadian and U.S. dealers.
