Chevrolet is updating its best-selling Silverado with a fresh face and new technology under the skin.
The changes to the 2016 Silverado are almost entirely cosmetic. Up front, the biggest tweaks include a body-colour grille and new headlights with LEDs, as well as a resculpted bumper and a new hood. Hot on the heels of offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the GMC Yukon and Sierra, you can now opt for either infotainment system on the 2016 Silverado.
Aside from the new infotainment systems and facelifted front end, GM says the Silverado will see an “expanded” use of the company’s eight-speed automatic transmission. Until now, you could only get the eight-speed automatic with the range-topping 6.2-litre V8 engine.
We’ll bring you more details on the 2016 Chevy Silverado following its official debut this fall.
