German firm NLV Solar AG will take to this year’s Geneva Motor Show with a concept set to be as outlandish as it is futuristic.

Known as the Quant e-Sportlimousine, NLV says the concept will measure 5.25 metres in length and be a four-seat sports car. But the most mysterious part about the concept is that it will be powered by something NLV calls “nanoFLOWCELL drive.”

According to NLV, the e-Sportslimousine is “a unique combination of innovative technology, outstanding design and an entirely new storage system.” NanoFLOWCELL plays the role of the latter. Although we’re not sure how exactly it would work, NLV promises nanoFLOWCELL will “generate new and innovative ideas for ongoing research into battery development, specifically in the field of flow-cell technology.”

This year’s Geneva Motor Show kicks off on March 6.
