Kia is showing off its redesigned 2017 Sportage in new photos before the crossover’s official reveal at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
The three, exterior-only shots show a much more aggressively-designed Sportage, which is heading into its fourth-generation with this latest model. The front-end now features Kia’s tiger-nose corporate grille and new angular headlights, while the CUV’s rear-end features new wraparound LED taillights.
Not much else is known about the new Sportage. Expect to see the Hyundai Tucson’s new 1.6-litre turbo-four under the hood and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, as well as the requisite active safety tech, such as a blind-spot monitor and a lane-keeping assist.
The next-gen Sportage will make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which opens its doors on Sept. 17.
