The Hot Rod and Kustom Rumble has taken place in the town of Rigaud, Que., since 2006. Hundreds of people came out this past August to see more than 300 custom cars, trucks, muscle cars and motorcycles from all over the region. Taking place in Parc Chantier-de-Lotbiniere, the outdoor event saw beautiful weather this year and a large crowd. Five rockabilly bands supplied live music during the course of the day and into the night, and families enjoyed the lively event for free while participants paid a modest $10 fee per vehicle.

Vehicles have to be from 1980 or earlier to enter the show to keep the vibe retro. Lots of people dress in the style of the 1950s and dance the night away doing the Jitterbug and Jive. There are also many vendors selling clothing and memorabilia and old parts for hot rod projects.

Take a look at the gallery above for scenes from this year’s festivities.
