Bentley, the latest automaker to jump on the luxury SUV bandwagon, just found its first Bentayga buyer.
Speaking with Bloomberg at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week, Bentley Americas CEO Michael Winkler says Queen Elizabeth will take delivery of the first production-spec Bentayga.
Having test-driven a prototype a few weeks ago, Queen Elizabeth will use her Bentayga on her Scottish property for hunting trips. Although the most aggressive off-roading most Bentaygas will likely see is a gravel road, it’s good to know at least one will be put to good use – by Her Majesty the Queen, no less.
The Bentayga, powered by Bentley’s twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine, pumps out 600 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft. of torque. It starts at US$229,000, but Canadian pricing has yet to be revealed.
