It’s not entirely surprising that the most exorbitantly priced luxury SUV on the market packs some unbelievably expensive options.
But an optional dashboard clock that costs more than a fully-loaded BMW M3 is an expensive extra even for an SUV that costs more than $250,000. In fact, at $160K, the clock is approximately 64 per cent of the Bentley Bentayga‘s “base” price.
The clock itself is a Breitling Mulliner Tourbillion and it’s fully mechanical. The only electric component in the clock is a winder which periodically rotates the entire clock to ensure it never runs out of power. See it in action in the video below. There’s no doubt there will be a few buyers willing to pay for this lavish extra, but if it was our money, we’d save the $160,000 and spend it on a Porsche 911 or Jaguar F-Type to keep the W12-powered SUV company in the garage.
