This 13-minute video detailing Horacio Pagani’s latest work of art, the Pagani Huayra, makes us desperately wish we could have it. Like, right now.

Debuted in 2011, the $1.3-million hypercar is a worthy successor to the Zonda in every respect, as the video from XCAR demonstrates below. While it doesn’t share the outlandish styling of the Zonda, the Huayra is definitely more refined inside and out. Boasting gullwing doors, meticulously crafted carbon-fibre and aluminum parts, and a steampunk-inspired dash, the car is a sight to behold.

Its beauty is equally matched by its power, as the Huayra is equipped with a mid-engine, 6-litre AMG V12 that produces 730 horsepower and 740 lb-ft of torque. The kicker? It only weighs 1,350 kg, which is 87 kg lighter than a Ford Focus ST, thanks to its extensive use of carbotanium — a lightweight and bulletproof (yes, really) weave of carbon and titanium. But, as the video shows, the car is agile on its feet and easy to control, despite all that power loaded in a svelte frame.

Needless to say, it is a magical, beautiful car. So much so that it has inspired us to write a few haikus extolling it.

Carbon-fibre love
You look like a mean spaceship
That I want to drive
-Jodi Lai

Huayra, god of wind
You smite lesser supercars
With a fierce tempest
-Nick Tragianis

Open those gullwings
Oh, Huayra, you’re so lovely
Please take my money
-Paul Choi
