Volvo will head to this year’s Geneva Motor Show with the final concept in its three-car series showcasing the Swedish automaker’s new design language.
So far, we’ve seen the Concept Coupe and the Concept XC Coupe. The latest is the Concept Estate, a handsome three-door wagon that follows in the footsteps of the V60 and XC70 while borrowing design cues from past models, including the 1800 ES wagon from the 1970s. It adopts the look we’ve seen so far on the Coupe and XC Coupe concepts, including the floating grille, T-shaped LED daytime running lights and 21-inch wheels.

Volvo says the cabin of the Concept Estate is not unlike a Scandinavian living room.
Handout, Volvo
Volvo paid particular attention to the interior of the Concept Estate, promising “the feel of a Scandinavian living room” with hand-crafted seats and an instrument panel finished in special Swedish leather, along with copper and aged wood trim. As for the car’s entertainment system, Volvo does away with buttons and dials by using a tablet-like touchscreen interface in the centre console.
We’ll bring you the latest on the Volvo Concept Estate and more news when the Geneva Motor Show opens its doors next Tuesday.
