Following today’s debuts of the RC F GT3 racecar and RC F-Sport coupe, Lexus has confirmed the upcoming NX crossover will bow at this year’s Beijing Motor Show.
According to a report out of Car and Driver, the NX will closely follow the outrageously edgy styling of the LF-NX crossover, which made its debut at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The NX will be sold in Europe, and will very likely find its way to North America slotting below the RX and aimed to compete with the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLK.
Lexus hasn’t announced any specific powertrain details, but the LF-NX concept was shown with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It’s highly likely the turbo-four, as well as a hybrid powertrain, will make it into production.
