Volkswagen is issuing a recall for Passat sedans built between 2012 and 2013 over a possible hiccup with its low-beam headlights.
The recall, covering 150,201 examples in the U.S. and 10,150 in Canada, is centred around Passats which could have their low-beam headlights disconnect from the force of slamming the hood or letting it drop from a certain height. As a result, a dashboard warning light will illuminate and the low-beam headlights will stop working.
Volkswagen says the fix is simple, requiring only an improved bulb housing. At this point in time, there have been no accidents or issues as a result of the issue.
