Land Rover has confirmed it will debut a new SUV concept at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.
Known as the Discovery Vision Concept, Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern says the new SUV will present the company’s trademark off-road capability and versatility with an all-new design language.
“We have created the Vision Concept to share the essence of Land Rover’s new age of Discovery and to debut a new, compelling and relevant design direction that connects on an emotional level with customers of today and tomorrow.”
It’s safe to say the Discovery Vision Concept will likely preview the successor to the current LR4, which has been around in its current form since 2009. Outside of North America, the LR4 is still sold as the Discovery.
We’ll bring you more on Land Rover’s upcoming SUV when the New York International Auto Show kicks off on April 16.
