Chrysler has officially announced it will unveil the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle cars at the New York International Auto Show.
Aside from a couple of teaser images, Chrysler has remained tight-lipped over its newest muscle cars. Based on the teaser images, we can expect the Charger to receive a “full-body makeover with nearly every single body panel being resculpted,” according to Chrysler.
Things should become a little more interesting with the Challenger. It will keep its retro styling, but Chrysler promises to get gearheads “abuzz” with a new powertrain. Rumours suggest it will be a new supercharged 6.2-litre V8, known as the Hellcat, with power numbers potentially exceeding the SRT Viper’s 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque.
We’ll bring you the latest on the 2015 Charger and Challenger when the New York International Auto Show kicks off on April 16.
