Ferrari lovers, and supercar enthusiasts everywhere, may want to turn their gazes away from the screen for this one.

A rare Ferrari F40 (valued at around $825,000) met an untimely end at the hands of an apparent red-light running Dodge Dart in Vaughan, Ont., just north of Toronto, on Monday.

The classic sports coupe was being driven by a Ferrari of Ontario mechanic, who was returning the car to the nearby dealership located on Auto Park Circle, when it was smashed into pieces at the intersection.

From photos taken at the scene by Matthew Berenz, it’s clear to see the front end of the F40 was completely destroyed in the crash. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured.

One of the most sought-after Ferraris today, only 1,315 of the 471-horsepower F40s were built in its production run from 1987 to 1992. As its name indicates, the car was a celebration of Ferrari’s 40th anniversary and was the last Ferrari vehicle to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself.

Here’s an Instagram video taken of the wreckage scene. We weep.
