The movement toward smaller, sportier crossovers continues with Mercedes-Benz‘s Concept Coupe SUV, which the company debuted at this year’s Beijing Motor Show.
Now, the automaker is mulling separate model lines based on the concept that would cater to buyers looking for car-like characteristics first and foremost in their SUVs, according to a new report from Automotive News Europe.
The production model of the four-door Concept Coupe SUV could become part of a new model line of “on-road” sport-utes, the report says. This new line could include a similarly coupe-styled four-door version of Mercedes’ recently launched GLA compact crossover.
Mercedes has not indicated when it expects the production version of its latest concept to launch.
