Chances are if you own a vintage car, you put it away for the winter. I get it — what with all the snow, slush and salt, it’s just not a season to enjoy driving.
None of that matters if you’re Pikes Peak champion Jeff Zwart. No, if you’re a gearhead like Zwart, you drive your cars year-round, and that includes even a pristine 1953 Porsche 356 Coupe that spent most of its life in sunny southern California.
In the video, Zwart tells us how he came across his 356. While working on a film shoot for the first-generation Cayenne, he wanted to include some of Porsche’s heritage. He purchased the 356, and after the shoot, he decided to keep it.
Being no stranger to pushing Porsches to their limits in rough conditions, Zwart runs his 356 on studded winter rubber whenever he drives through Colorado and engages in the occasional snowy hijinks. When you have seven Pikes Peak wins and a wealth of rally experience under your belt, you almost have to.
