With only a one-sentence press release and a teaser picture, Nissan has announced a special NISMO model ahead of its reveal tomorrow.
Although Nissan didn’t explicitly name the car in its release, it’s hard to mistake that headlight and front fender for anything but the 370Z. Nissan will reveal the car in full tomorrow at 1 p.m. EST at the annual ZDAYZ meet in North Carolina.
At this point, the NISMO model will receive unique daytime running lights, a red front lip spoiler, new wheels, and a restyled front bumper and grille. Squint hard enough and you might see a hint of Jaguar XKR-S in that grille.
Whether or not the new model will receive any mechanical updates remains to be seen, but the outgoing 370Z NISMO pumps out 350 horsepower and 276 lb.-ft. of torque, paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. The current 370Z also sports a number of additional cosmetic tweaks, including an aggressive body kit, a rear wing and unique interior trim pieces.
