The weather is (gradually) getting nicer, which means it’s time to look for a fun car for the summer. But what to buy? There are so many choices on Kijiji at any given moment that it’s hard to narrow it down. Luckily, you have us and this is exactly why we’ve done it for you. Have a look at these “completely logical and practical” classics that can be bought right now for less than $5,000. Which one would you pick?

1902 Oldsmobile Curved Dash Runabout (replica): $1,500

Supplied, Kijiji

They just don’t make ‘em like they used to. This 1902 Oldsmobile replica horseless carriage is available in St. Catharines, Ont., and it’s a great car for people who think that a steering wheel is too new a concept and prefer to use a tiller. What engine powers it? What is this replica based off of? The ad answers absolutely none of those questions, but judging by the quality of the pictures, we can assume that the seller took the pictures with his 1902 replica camera.

1950 Chevrolet Deluxe: $4,000

Kijiji

1954 Chevrolet Deluxe
Supplied, Kijiji

This beautiful 1950 Chevrolet sedan is available for $4,000 in Cambridge, Ont., and serves as a dramatic reminder of how far cars progressed from 1902 to 1950. This one’s powered by a 216 cubic-inch straight-six and a “three on the tree” column-shifted manual. These cars are gorgeous Sunday drivers, but are happiest when cruising at 80 km/h and don’t like to be pushed much faster. Buff the paint, mount some chrome steelies and this one’s ready for cruising!

1979 AMC Pacer Wagon DL: $3,999.99

Have you ever lusted after a flesh-colored AMC Pacer wagon but were holding out for one with wood side panelling? Well, this is your dream come true! This timeless classic is available in North Lancaster, Ont., for a low $3,999.99. They might drop the 99 cents if you haggle a bit. The seats look like they’d be more at home in a 1970′s basement than a car, but then again, that’s the appeal of one of these cars. And if you mention Wayne’s World one more time…

1972 Fiat 850 Spider: $1,400

Supplied, Kijiji

Somebody save this little guy! Offered for just $1,400 in Calgary, Alta., this bedraggled barchetta is begging with puppy eyes for a new lease on life. It’s missing a windshield, the seats appear to be sitting at some strange angle and the ragtop looks a bit like an old rag, but the car appears fairly solid otherwise. The seller mentions nothing about rust, but it seems to be solid enough for a restoration. And if you aren’t sold already, the seller states that “if you have one you bought in pieces, you can use this one to see how to put yours back together.” See that? It’s a 3D instruction manual! How practical is that?

1977 Porsche 924/944: $4,000

Kijiji

1977 Porsche 924
Supplied, Kijiji

The Porsche 924 is often derided for its humble Volkswagen-sourced engine, but this one available in Okotoks, Alta., for $4,000 is a little different. This 924 has benefited from a heart transplant from a 1983 Porsche 944. The car is being sold by a knowledgeable enthusiast who even offers to change the timing belt for the new buyer! Typically, 924s don’t faze us, but this one looks so cool with its phone dial rims and tres-70s interior. We love it. Which car would you choose? Tell us in the comments below. (Even though we KNOW you want that horseless carriage…)
