As part of its return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche will offer a limited edition of the 911 Carrera S finished in the iconic Martini Racing colours once worn by its classic racecars throughout the 1970s.

Few racing liveries are as iconic as the Martini Racing colours — Gulf’s light blue and orange, and Lotus’ British Racing Green and gold are probably the only exceptions — which is why Porsche is limiting its run of 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Editions to just 80 units.

Available in either black or white, the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition also comes standard with the front splitter and rear spoiler from the standard 911′s Aerokit Cup package. Inside, the Martini Racing edition adds a Bose sound system, Porsche’s Sport Chrono package and Sport Design steering wheel, and body-coloured dashboard trim finished off with the Martini logo.

Mechanically, the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition is unchanged, meaning it’s still powered by the standard 3.8-litre flat-six engine, good for 400 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. Sales of the Martini Racing Edition will kick off in Europe later this month in time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Latin America, China and Japan following later in the year. Unfortunately, North America isn’t on the list, but according to Jalopnik, the Martini decals will be offered through dealers.
