According to MotorAuthority, the much anticipated new Toyota Supra, possibly based on the FT-1 concept, will share a platform with the new BMW Z4.
Details are rather scarce but the current Z4 is powered by four- and six-cylinder engines, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that straight six power will live under the Supra’s hood.
The two companies have been working together since 2011 and will collaborate on hybrid technologies in the future. The report suggests we might see a finished product from the two automakers by 2017.
