Ford has revealed a couple of sketches of a new package destined for the 2015 Mustang.
Known as the Mustang RTR, the package was designed by professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr., and will be a dealer-installed add-on. If the previous Mustang RTRs are any indication, the package will include a handful of performance and cosmetic modifications that should give the Mustang more attitude.
According to Road and Track, two flavours of the RTR package will be available. The so-called “Spec-1″ will be offered on Mustangs powered by the turbocharged four-cylinder and V8 engines, while the “Spec 2″ will be exclusive to the V8. In addition, Gittin Jr. says parts will be available on their own, which lets Mustang owners build their own package to their liking.
Ford hasn’t dished details on what upgrades we can expect under the hood, but on the outside, expect to see numerous unique cosmetic and aero upgrades, including a new front grille, a reworked front splitter and rear diffuser, and a set of lightweight alloy wheels.
There is no word yet on whether we’ll see the RTR package offered in Canadian dealers, but we should have more details once this year’s SEMA show rolls around in November.
