Ricky Gervais doesn’t like riding shotgun in an Austin-Healey

If there’s one thing Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is known for — aside from its long name — it’s the gorgeous (and sometimes quirky) cars featured every week. This baby blue Austin-Healey 3000 is one of them.

In its time, the 3000 was no different than any other British roadster from the 1960s — raspy, gorgeous and notoriously unreliable. As beautiful as they are, the Austin-Healey 3000 doesn’t exactly seem like a comfortable cruiser. Ricky Gervais, who grabbed coffee with Seinfeld, seemed to agree given his grip on the dashboard and constant bickering. It’s like they’re practically a married couple.

“It feels like I’m being dragged along in a tin bath,” as Gervais put it. He even suggested a new description for Seinfeld’s show — “a man wants to drive you around New York really fast in a death machine laughing.”

It can’t be that bad, right? Check out the video below and have a laugh at Ricky Gervais’ nervous misfortunes. After all, like he says, he falls over for our amusement. So gracious!
