Ford has already issued the first recall for the 2015 Mustang.
As expected, the number of cars isn’t too significant — only 53 units are affected. AutoGuide reports the issue is centred around seatbelt assemblies, which could have an incorrectly-calibrated buckle tension sensor on the passenger side.
Ford says the sensor, which was calibrated by one of its parts suppliers, could prevent the air bags from functioning properly in the event of a collision. No injuries have been reported, but the automaker will notify owners affected by the recall and have the sensor replaced through their dealer at no charge.
