Audi’s stunning Prologue concept from this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show will inspire the look of the upcoming A6 sedan.
According to AutoGuide, Audi chief designer Marc Lichte says the A6 will wear styling cues lifted from the Prologue in a bid to diversify its sedan lineup and further differentiate the A6 from the A3, A4 and A8.
Details over the next-generation A6 are sparse, but expect to see it debut as a 2017 mode. Given the rest of the Volkswagen Group moving towards modular platforms, the A6 will more than likely be underpinned by Audi’s reworked MLB platform — the same one as the 2016 Q7. That means you can expect the next A6 to be considerably lighter than the current model.
