When the Veyron first saw the light of day a decade ago, Bugatti promised 450 examples will be built before the French automaker will pull the plug on production.
That milestone is quickly approaching with the 450th example officially set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Per GTSpirit (hat tip to AutoGuide), the final Veyron looks to be a bespoke variant of the Grand Sport Vitesse. Expect to see exclusive paintwork and carbon fibre elements on the outside, as well as unique interior touches as well.
Under the hood, the Geneva-bound Veyron will be no different than the ones before it — expect to see the 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine mounted in the middle, pushing out 1,200 horsepower. But considering this is the Veyron’s swan song, we wouldn’t be surprised if Bugatti squeezes more juice out of the engine.
As for the Veyron’s successor, rumour has it the model will be called the Chiron and utilize electrically-driven turbochargers, pushing it past the 1,500-horsepower mark.
We’ll have the latest when the Geneva Motor Show kicks off on March 3.
