For buying or selling anything, Kijiji is the first stop for many people. Over the past decade, it has become one of Canada’s most popular websites dedicated to classifieds, especially if you need to sell a car.
When it was started in February 2005, about 15,000 listings were dedicated to cars. Today, that number sits at 1.3 million — and of that chunk, Ontario has the most autos-related listings at 383,000, while Quebec ranks second at roughly 206,000 ads.
As for the most popular players, 4,500 car dealers have listings and BMW is Kijiji’s most searched automaker. That’s a significant difference considering Canada’s most popular new car is the Honda Civic and the Ford F-150 is the overall best-selling new vehicle.
