A new image has surfaced online of what appears to be the upcoming Hyundai Elantra.
Posted by Korean website Auto.Hankyung (hat tip to @BradsAutoReview on Twitter and AutoGuide), the image leaked ahead of the Elantra’s official South Korean launch next month as a 2016 model.
If the photo is indeed of the next-generation Elantra, the compact sedan will see evolutionary design changes as part of Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language. Its front fascia – specifically the front grille – is reminiscent of the Sonata and Genesis, while the headlights and vertical LED daytime running lights are new.
Although Hyundai recently refreshed the Elantra GT for 2016, the last time we saw a refresh to the sedan variant was for the 2014 model year. That puts the timing about right for a redesigned Elantra sedan, although Hyundai hasn’t confirmed any specific details about the car.
