Tesla Motors, the electric car company led by billionaire Elon Musk, plans to update software on its Model S to help soothe drivers’ concerns over running out of power in the middle of a trip.
The improvement “to end range anxiety” will be announced Thursday, Musk said via his personal Twitter account on Sunday. He didn’t elaborate on how the update works.
The Tesla Model S has a range of as much as 434 kilometres, or 270 miles, according to the company’s website.
